Vision

To provide holistic care to orphans, street children, and impoverished families in the Philippines.

Mission

To share the love of Jesus Christ holistically to forward the Kingdom of God. This is done locally and globally. We understand our place in God’s Mission and Kingdom to be a ministry to the poor spiritually, physically, and emotionally, through a children’s home and community development program in the Philippines.

Our Story So Far

While conducting medical outreaches in 2006 in the Philippines, Jack and Tammy fell in love with the country and especially the Filipino people. One evening while walking the streets of Manila, Jack saw many young 6 to 8 year old children pulling out pieces of cardboard and going to sleep on the city sidewalk. He knew that this just couldn’t be right, and God began to lead him and Tammy on a journey which would culminate in service to some of the poorest of the poor people in our world.

We desire to help orphans to get off the streets, especially the streets of Manila. We provide a loving Christian Children’s Home for each child in order that they are able to develop life skills and live a full life as God intended.

When possible we want to keep the children with their families and especially their parents. We plan to continue to incorporate families in to our community development program through agriculture and small business development. The goal is that the family is given the necessary resources (capital, education, and supervision) in order to have their own business that will enable them to sustain their families’ basic needs in life. This community development program will focus on God and the good of the community rather than just on their own personal gains.

Our vision for the Children’s Home is to raise up the Christian leaders of tomorrow. This home will be much more than an orphanage. The children will be loved and get all the basic necessities of life…but also so much more. Each child will be involved in a tailor made discipleship program which will teach them in depth about:

Finances and Financial Management
Economics
Social Justice Issues
Christianity and Christian Living

We hope that the children will truly be the Christian leaders of tomorrow in the Philippines and around the world.

By January of 2012 we hope to have 200 children off the streets and in the Children’s Home. The staff will consist of:

20-30 House Parents

The Budget for the Children’s Home is as follows, broken down by individual child per month:

$20 – Food
$10 – Housing
$8 – Medical
$5 – Education
$10 – Caregiver, social worker, and counselor
$ 7 – Miscellaneous such as school clothes and supplies

$60 – Total

We have divided sponsorship into 2 equal sponsors for each child at a monthly cost of $30 each.  One sponsorship covers food/housing, the other covers medical/education/care. 100% of all sponsorship money goes directly towards the child. Please see the FAQ section for more information.
